Jakarta – Istri salah satu anak buah kapal (ABK) dari kapal Motor (KM) Niki Sejahtera menghubungi contact center Bakamla RI dengan penuh kecemasan untuk menanyakan kabar suaminya atas nama RSA, setelah mendengar kabar kebakaran yang menimpa kapal tersebut. KM Niki Sejahtera, yang mengangkut 76 penumpang dan 44 ABK, mengalami kebakaran saat sedang melakukan pelayaran dari Surabaya menuju Banjarmasin, Jumat (2/08/2024).
Dalam kejadian tersebut, seluruh penumpang dan ABK berhasil dievakuasi oleh kapal patroli Bakamla RI, KN Singa Laut-402. Komandan KN Singa Laut-402, Letkol Bakamla M. Ritaudin, A.Md., mengonfirmasi melalui video call bahwa semua korban dalam keadaan selamat. Namun, satu ABK dilaporkan mengalami luka bakar dan saat ini sedang mendapatkan perawatan dari Bintara Kesehatan (Bakes) KN Singa Laut-402.
KN Singa Laut-402 kini sedang dalam perjalanan menuju Dermaga Tri Sakti, Banjarmasin, untuk menurunkan seluruh korban. Tim medis di pelabuhan telah dipersiapkan untuk memberikan penanganan lebih lanjut kepada para korban segera setelah mereka tiba.
Pihak Bakamla RI dan KN Singa Laut-402 berkomitmen untuk terus memberikan informasi terkini kepada keluarga para penumpang dan ABK KM Niki Sejahtera. Bakamla juga memastikan bahwa semua upaya akan dilakukan untuk menjaga kesehatan dan keselamatan seluruh korban hingga mereka dapat kembali ke keluarga masing-masing dengan selamat.
